Wednesday I made a large amount of spaghetti and meat sauce for my son’s high school cross country team, for their lunch on Thursday before the race. Friday night I worked the concession stand for the homecoming football game. Saturday was the homecoming dance, and my husband worked all weekend, so I was on kid duty all weekend by myself.
Tomorrow my plan is to go to my studio and work on my painting of the Soulard area houses. These are very old Victorian style homes that were built in the early to mid 1800′s. St. Louis has a lot of these Victorian homes in it’s older section, and they are lovely. They speak of a much gentler, more romantic time in life.
Last week I finished working on a lovely yellow/white lotus flower. What was different about this, is it was giving it’s nectar to 3 bees! Here it is:
